Cultivating Connection & Resilience at the THRIVE Wellness Event

This week, Zoe Sheehan and I had the honor of joining Kehillah High’s THRIVE Wellness Event, a meaningful gathering centered on emotional well-being, creativity, and community support for today’s teens. We left feeling inspired, grateful, and deeply moved by the openness and insight of the students we met.

Supporting 12th Graders Through Life’s Next Chapter

I spent the evening with the 12th graders, guiding a conversation on preparing for life after high school. Together, we explored:

  • Navigating the transition to college

  • Understanding anticipatory grief, that mix of excitement and sadness that comes with change

  • Building supportive routines around sleep, movement, nourishment, and community

  • Caring for their mental health during big transitions

  • Finding belonging, including connecting with Jewish life on campus

  • How to ask for help, set boundaries, and build a life that feels meaningful

The seniors shared their hopes, their worries, and the complex emotions that come with stepping into adulthood.

Zoe’s Mindful Bracelet-Making with 9th–12th Graders

At the same time, Zoe Sheehan, CSC, LPC-Associate, led a creative, grounding workshop with students in 9th through 12th grades. Her session on mindful bracelet-making gave teens a tangible, sensory way to slow down, regulate, and reflect on what they want to cultivate more of in their daily lives.

Through color, intention-setting, and hands-on creativity, Zoe helped students create pieces they could carry with them so they have small reminders of safety, expression, and self-compassion.

Our Work With Tweens and Teens

At Well Mind Body, we love working with tweens and teens who are navigating the stress, pressure, and emotional complexity of adolescence. Whether they’re facing academic stress, social challenges, identity exploration, or the transition to college, we are committed to offering a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can feel understood, regulated, and empowered.

Thank you to Kehillah High for inviting us and for trusting us with the wellbeing of your students. We look forward to continued collaboration and to supporting this incredible community in the future.

If your school, youth group, or organization is interested in bringing a wellness workshop or teen-focused mental health event to your community, the Well Mind Body team would be honored to partner with you.
