Strangers Book Club Series, Reserve Your Spot!
Some of the best conversations happen when women show up for each other.
Come be part of one (or all!) of our Strangers book club discussions—open to women in every stage of life: married, single, divorced, widowed, or somewhere in between. The themes in this book, relationships, trust, resilience, identity, and agency, touch all of us in different ways, and some of the richest conversations happen when women with different experiences share their perspectives with one another.

Session Schedule:
July 21 | 2–4 PM at Bar Madonna Special Guest: Carrie Lium, Family Therapist How We Learn to Give (or Keep) Our Power This session explores the emotional side of agency and the relationship patterns that shape how women make decisions. Using memorable moments from the book—including the "sandwich scene" and the symbolism of the ospreys—the discussion will cover intuition, identity, caregiving, and the subtle ways women sometimes put others' needs ahead of their own.
August 19 | 2–4 PM at Bar Madonna Special Guest: Alberta Totz, JD, LPC When Life Changes—What Do You Wish You Knew? Bringing a unique dual perspective—both legal and therapeutic—to the conversation, this session draws on key moments in the book, including Belle's decision to amend her prenup and the gradual unraveling of the life she thought she understood, to discuss resilience, preparedness, and what happens when life takes an unexpected turn. The focus will be on navigating change with confidence, clarity, and strength.
September 17 | 2–4 PM at Bar Madonna Special Guest: Ashley Scott, Attorney Protection, Clarity & Owning Your Future This session explores the difference between feeling secure and being secure. Using examples from the book involving the prenup, ownership, financial visibility, and the conversations that never happened, the discussion will focus on how clarity, communication, and engagement can help women feel more confident and prepared for whatever the future may bring.
