Finding Balance in a Busy World: How Integrative Therapy Helps You Heal Mind, Body, and Soul

In a world that never stops moving, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself.

Between work deadlines, family responsibilities, and constant digital noise, many of us feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. At Well Mind Body Integrative Psychotherapy & Wellness, we help you slow down, reconnect, and restore balance from the inside out.

Our Houston-based team of licensed therapists and wellness professionals understands that emotional well-being isn’t just about “talking it out.” True healing happens when we address the whole person — your mind, body, relationships, and environment.

What Makes Our Approach Different

While traditional therapy focuses on thoughts and behaviors, integrative psychotherapy explores how the body, brain, and nervous system interact. Our clinicians combine evidence-based counseling with mind-body approaches like mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and lifestyle practices — so you can feel grounded, not just get by.

At Well Mind Body, we believe:

  • Emotional health and physical health are deeply connected.

  • Your story matters and we know that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

  • Change happens when you feel safe, supported, and seen.

Our team includes experts in anxiety, trauma, divorce recovery, parenting support, teen mental health, grief, and more. Whether you’re seeking calm after chaos, support for your child, or a fresh start, there’s a place for you here.

Meet the Well Mind Body Team

Dr. Elizabeth Miller, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S

Founder, integrative psychotherapist, and supervisor specializing in trauma, neurobiology, and the mind-body connection. Dr. Miller leads with compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in the body’s innate capacity to heal.

Alberta Totz, JD, LPC

A licensed therapist and former attorney, Alberta leads the Women’s Divorce Empowerment Group and works extensively with women navigating transitions in the second act of life, from divorce and career reinvention to rediscovering identity after the kids have grown.

Her work is especially meaningful for empty nesters and women asking, “What’s next for me?” She creates a space to process loss, rediscover purpose, and build new routines that align with who you are now, not just who you’ve been. Alberta’s approach is grounded, empowering, and practical — helping clients move through uncertainty toward clarity and confidence.

Mary Beth Lee, LCSW

Facilitator of the E-Motion Grief & Movement Group, Mary Beth brings a compassionate, body-centered approach to working through complex grief, loss, and addiction recovery.

Her background in trauma and addiction treatment allows her to support clients experiencing grief that feels “stuck” or compounded by other life experiences such as childhood trauma, relational loss, or the cycle of substance use and recovery. Through gentle movement, mindfulness, and relational healing, Mary Beth helps clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and find meaning after loss.

Whether someone is navigating bereavement, supporting a loved one in recovery, or seeking to rebuild life after deep emotional pain, her work offers a safe, restorative path toward wholeness and hope.

Zoe Sheehan, LPC-Associate, CSC

Zoe supports teens, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, school stress, perfectionism, and transitions. With a warm and relatable presence, she helps young people strengthen resilience, self-understanding, and emotional regulation which are skills that last well beyond adolescence.

Together, our clinicians form a deeply collaborative team dedicated to supporting individuals and families at every stage of life.
